Hello lovelies! So this week I’ve been pretty sick, and to make myself feel better, I decide to treat myself. I’ve been hoarding Boots points all year and finally, finally, found something worthy to spend them on. After lots not much deliberation, I decided to add this beauty to my basket, and let me tell you now – you all should to.

The Smashbox #SHAPEMATTERS Palette is the brand’s first multi-use palette, and it focuses on everyone’s favourite makeup trend – contouring. #SHAPEMATTERS contains 12 eye shadows for crafting beautiful eye looks, 4 face powders to contour, bronze, highlight and add glow to your face and 2 brown shades to sculpt the most perfect brow, along with a clear setting wax.

What I love about this palette is that it’s all very neutral – I know, it’s boring of me, but it’s just so wearable. The shadows are pigmented, and you’ve got everything to make an everyday look or something much more glamorous. “Blackout” is so intense that you can actually use it as an eyeliner! My favourites are “Totally Nude” (top middle) and “Platinum” (middle right).

The face section was the reason I bought this palette. The contour shade is perfect for pale skin, with it being a more ashy brown and cool toned. The bronze shade is pale girl friendly also, which I’ve always found hard to find. The highlight shade is beautiful, ever so slightly yellow toned and definitely my favourite shade for highlight. Lastly, the “Glow” powder is to die for. It’s a shimmery champagne colour and will suit everyone.

Lastly, the eyebrow shades. To be honest, they’re both a bit too light for me. These would be better for someone with blonde or light brown hair, but as mine is naturally a darker brown, they just don’t really do much. All is not lost though, because the “Sumatra” eyeshadow is the perfect eyebrow colour for me!

To top it all off, this palette comes with a dual ended brush for brows and shadows, and the world’s most massive mirror (slight exaggeration?)

All in all, I would 100% recommend  this palette. The shadows are better than anything I’ve ever used, and the contour colours are just perfect for me and what I was looking for. If you buy anything this month, make it this.

Smashbox #SHAPEMATTERS Palette retails at £60 but can currently be found for £30 at  Boots.
