Hey guys! Long time no blog! I’ve recently moved house so blogging has taken the back burner while we try and get everything sorted. However, today is the epitome of a lazy Saturday so I figured I’d grace your screens with a mini review of some Mac faves.
When me and the other half went to London at the end of June, I used it as a perfect excuse to do some shopping. One purse hammering shopping trip and an awful customer service experience in Mac later, I wandered out with some pieces I’d had my eye on for a while. I’d gone in with the mindset of picking up All That Glitters and Satin Taupe, but sadly ATG was out of stock. Boo.
All was no lost however, as Honesty is very very similar. Like ATG, it is a shimmery gold tone with flecks of silver glitter running through it (ATG is more golden glitter.) Honesty has a slight burnt hue to it, making it amazing for summery bronze eyes, and perfect for brightening up a smoky look.
I only really wanted Satin Taupe because everyone and their mum raves about it. I probably wouldn’t have picked it up if it wasn’t so popular, but let me tell you right now, it’s the bee’s knees. It’s not quite brown, not quite purple and not quite gold, but more of an amalgamation of the three. It’s such a unique colour and I can’t wait to slap this on my eyes over Autumn.
Mac eyeshadows are renowned for having an amazing formula, and these two gems definitely live up to that. They’re smooth and buttery, so easy to blend and very pigmented – I personally find they’re worth the £10 price mark (I got the refill pans) and I definitely have more on my wishlist for when I decide to build my big palette!
Have you ever tried Mac eyeshadows, or these shades in particular? Which are your fave high end eyeshadows?
Let me know below!
